Episode 8
8. Pregnancy Elephants
For Pilates instructors, few topics provoke as much anxiety as working with prenatal clients.
As a consequence many instructors compulsively seek continuing education on prenatal and postnatal Pilates.
Sadly, most educators don't understand current prenatal exercise guidelines.
So despite all the ongoing education they do on the topic, the majority of Pilates instructors still don't know what to do with pregnant clients.
In this double-length episode we delve into the mythology of prenatal Pilates, and talk through many of the Pilates Elephants surrounding pregnancy.
But we don't just leave you hanging, we do talk through the current guidelines.
